Privacy Notice
How we handle personal data on this website. Last updated 14 September 2026.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller for this website is Swed Fintech AB (company registration number 559499-7891), trading as Freja North Studios, Artillerigatan 29, 114 45 Stockholm, Sweden. You can reach us about anything in this notice at careers@frejanorthstudios.se.
2. What we collect and why
Contact form and email
When you write to us we receive your name, email address, organisation (if given), the type of enquiry and your message. We use this to reply to you and to follow up on your enquiry. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, where an enquiry leads to a commission, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
Applications for internships, the Creative Pro Lab, master thesis placements and open positions
When you apply we receive your name, email address, university or current role, links you choose to share (portfolio, LinkedIn), your motivation text and any CV, transcript, portfolio or video you send by email. We use this only to assess your application and to communicate with you about it. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a placement or employment relationship (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in recruiting (Article 6(1)(f)). Please do not include sensitive information (for example health, religion or political views) in your application; we do not need it.
Newsletter
If you subscribe we store your email address and the date and source of your consent, and use it to send you studio news. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us or by using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter, and we will stop sending.
Website visits
This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies and uses no third-party trackers. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) for security and to keep the service running. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are kept for a short period and then deleted.
3. Who receives your data
Form submissions are delivered to our studio inbox through a form-handling service hosted by Google (Google Workspace, Apps Script). The website is hosted on Railway. Both act as processors under contracts that include the EU standard contractual clauses for transfers outside the EEA. Application material may be shared internally with the people who run the programme you applied to, including at affiliated companies in the group where a programme involves a rotation to an affiliate office. We do not sell personal data and do not share it with advertisers.
4. How long we keep it
- Contact messages: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and up to 24 months afterwards.
- Applications: for the duration of the selection process and up to 12 months after it closes, so we can consider you for a later intake or respond to questions about the process, unless you ask us to delete sooner. If you join the studio your application becomes part of your personnel record.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only a suppression record so we do not email you again.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, for its correction or erasure, for restriction of processing, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to receive data you gave us in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. To exercise any right, email careers@frejanorthstudios.se. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority; in Sweden this is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY), www.imy.se.
6. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled systems. Only people who need to handle your enquiry or application can see it.
7. Changes
We will update this notice when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top of the page.
